AKC HUNTING TESTS
| GCWC was the first Weimaraner club in the nation to hold AKC licensed hunting
Tests and the first of any dog club to host an AKC licensed Hunting test in the
entire southeastern USA. We also started our sister club , the Palmetto
Pointing Breed Club in Walhalla, SC so that there would be AKC Hunting Tests in
the upper part of the state as well. GCWC holds two Hunting tests in December and two in January. We
hold a WCA shooting dog ratings on Friday in January (results on Ratings page).
Our January Hunting Tests are held at the Bulow
Hunt Club off Hwy 17 South, Red Top, SC (near Johns Island). ALL DOGS ON
LEAD. NO BITCHES IN SEASON.
