EXCERPTS FROM A CAT’S DAILY DIARY

( Day 683 of my captivity )

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat while other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.  Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear,  I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.  The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.  In an attempt to disgust them,  I once again vomited on the floor.  Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet.  I hoped this would strike fear into them since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of.  However, they merely made condescending comments about what a “great little hunter” I am.  The audacity!!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight.  I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event.  However, I could hear the noise and smell the food.  I overheard that my confinement was due to my power of “allergies.”  I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking.  I must try this again tomorrow—but at the top of the stairs.  I am convinced that the other prisoners here flunkies and snitches.

The dog receives special privileges.  He is regularly released—and he seems more than willing to return.  He is obviously retarded.  The bird has got to be an informant—I observe him communicating with the guards regularly.  I am certain that he records my every move. The captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe—

For now.  But I can wait.  For it is only a matter of time

  LONDON FIGHTS BACK!

You may not know this but many non-living things have
a gender.

1) Ziploc Bags are Male, because they hold everything
in, but you can see right through them.

2) Copiers are Female, because once turned off; it
takes a while to warm them up again. It's an effective
reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed,
but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed.

3) A Tire is Male, because it goes bald and it's often
over-inflated.

4) A Hot Air Balloon is Male, because, to get it to go
anywhere, you have to light a fire under it, and of
course, there's the hot air part.

5) Sponges are Female, because they're soft,
squeezable and retain water.

6) A Web Page is Female, because it's always getting
hit on.

7) A Subway is Male, because it uses the same old
lines to pick people up.

8) An Hourglass is Female, because over time, the
weight shifts to the bottom.

9) A Hammer is Male, because it hasn't changed much
over the last 5,000 years, but it's handy to have
around.

10) A Remote Control is Female. Ha! You thought it'd
be male, didn't you? But consider this - it gives a
man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he
doesn't always know the right buttons to push, he
keeps trying!

My neighbor has a puppy he's giving away (FREE!).
It's a Beagle, it's house broken, and it's great with kids.

He's giving it away because his wife says the dog 'stares' at
her when she is undressing and gives her the 'Heebie Jeebies'.
I think she is just weird!

If you're interested, or know someone who is, let me know.
Here's a picture of the dog

When cloning goes Wrong  (whoever did this, did it really well)

PARIS, France The Associated Press Friday, August 5, 2005; 11:00 PM --

Lance Armstrong's record setting seventh Tour de France victory, along with
his entire Tour de France legacy, may be tarnished by what could turn out to
be one of the greatest sports scandals of all time Armstrong is being
quizzed by French police after three banned substances were found in his
South France hotel room while on vacation after winning the 2005 Tour de
France.

The three substances found were toothpaste, deodorant, and soap which have
been banned by French authorities for over 75 years. Armstrong's girlfriend
and American rocker Sheryl Crowe is quoted as saying "We use them every day
in America, so we naturally thought they'd be OK throughout Europe."

Along with these three banned substances, French authorities also physically
searched Armstrong himself and found several other interesting items that
they have never seen before, including a backbone and testicles.
